While there is no requirement for strata company accounts to be audited, it is considered a matter of best practice, and is recommended by the Strata Community Association WA.

Under the current review of the Strata Legislation, indications are there will be a tightening of the regulations regarding the fiscal management of strata plans and the imposition of greater responsibilities on Executive Committees and Strata Managers. Having an audit report attached to the strata financial reports minimise the risk exposure and provides more insights to the financial information presented.
